1. Brown Fused Alumina Descriptions
Brown Fused Alumina (BFA) is made by a reduction fusion of high quality bauxites in an electric arc furnaces. It is both a hard and tough material with high strength, making it an excellent abrasive grain for applications such as grinding wheels, sandpaper, blasting media, metal preparation, lapping, polishing, and grinding. Its thermal properties make it an excellent raw material for refractory applications.
2. Brown Fused Alumina Characteristics
a. Direct manufacturer
b. High crystallinity
c. Good linear change performance
d. Weak adherence
e. High toughness
3. Brown Fused Alumina Applications
Brown fused alumina is widely used as a raw material in many industries:
1. Due to its high toughness, it is recommended for use in grinding wheels, cutoff wheels, points, blasting abrasives, etc.
2. It is also recommended for high performance grinding wheels.
3. Calcined BFA is heat treated in a rotary kiln at high temperatures and magnetic treated. These procedures guarantee low iron content and high toughness. It is recommended for high performance grinding wheels.
4. The friable brown fused aluminum oxide presents an excellent cost/benefit relation, being recommended for wood and drywall coated abrasives.
5. The semi friable brown fused alumina presents good toughness and excellent abrasion properties and is recommended for high performance bonded abrasives
4. Brown Fused Alumina Packing
Brown Fused Alumina BFA Packing:
1). 25 kg/bag, in bulk;
2). 25 kg/bag, 40 bags/big bag;
3). 25 kg/ bag, 40 bags/pallet;
4).As required.
