1. Fused Spinel Introduction

 

The fused magnesia spinel is made from high-purity light-burned magnesium powder and industrial alumina powder. After smelted by a large high-temperature electric arc furnace, the fused alumina magnesium spinel has the characteristics of high density, good appearance, good corrosion resistance and good thermal shock resistance. It inherits the advantages of high melting point and low expansion coefficient, alkali resistance especially alkaline residue from alumina and magnesia. Meanwhile, it avoids the high expansion coefficient of magnesium oxide, poor alkali resistance of aluminum oxide. Therefore, fused alumina magnesium spinel is widely used in the top of steel-making electric furnace, converter , ladle, large cement rotary kiln firing zone, excessive belt and glass regenerator that need alkaline resistance slag, wear resistance and high refractoriness.
