1. Mullite Sand Introduction

 

1. Our prodcts refractory foundry sands are made from mullite .Mullite is made of kaolin by high temperature sintering.

 

2. The density of mullite is generally greater than 2.5g/m3, the true specific gravity is 2.6g/cm3, the water content is less than 0.03%, and the fire resistance is greater than 1750 ℃. Under the condition of high temperature burning, its weight will be reduced by 0.3% and not more than 0.4%, which shows the stability of mullite's chemical properties. .

 

3. The chemical components of mullite are all chemical substances with strong fire resistance, and their properties are relatively stable. It mainly includes: alumina, silica, etc., the content of alumina is between 42% and 46%, and the content of silica is between 51-53%. The best raw ore make our foundry sands can keep relatively stable below 1750℃.
